Design Camp
Most
memorable activity in the computer room during Design Camp (October, 2006) was
making of a 3D model of our school and placing it into Google Earth. It was one
of the first 3D models in Thailand, together with models of Ministry of Finance
and King Mongkut University. Ours was made by 9 year olds and it looks just the
same. Students measured the actual size of school buildings including their height
whish was not an easy task, they couldn't just use the ruler or a tape measure
- they had to use geodesic formulaes. Then they scaled down the buildings and
learned to use a program called Google SketchUp to build 3D models.
